UPSC IES ISS Exam 2017: Application Form, Admit Card, Result

IES ISS (Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service) 2017 is going to be conducted on 12th May, 2017 for aspirants seeking their career in civil services.  The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is the respective authority responsible to conduct this exam. Interested candidates can obtain the UPSC IES ISS 2016 application form in between 8th February to 3rd March, 2017.

IES ISS 2017 Eligibility Criteria- Verify Before You Apply

National Criteria

Candidates must meet with one of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates should be a resident of India; Or,
  • A subject of Bhutan; Or,
  • A subject of Nepal; Or,
  • A personal who are actually from Indian origin but migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam; Or,
  • Group of Tibetan refugee who came into India with the intend of permanent settling in the country; Or,

Age Criteria

Minimum Age= 21 years and Maximum age<30 years as on 1st August, 2017 i.e. candidates who are born not before than 2nd August, 1987 and not after than 1st August, 1996 are eligible to apply.

Minimum Educational Qualification

For Indian Economic Service: Applicants should hold postgraduate degree with Economics/ Business Economics/Applied Economics/ Econometric from a recognized university.

For Indian Statistical Service: Applicants should hold a graduation degree with Mathematical Statistics/ Statistics/Applied Statistics or a Master’s degree in Mathematical Statistics/ Statistics/Applied Statistics from a recognized university.

Physical Standards

Must be medically fit according the standard of the respective authority.

IES ISS 2017 Application Form, Instruction to Apply

Interested and eligible aspirants can apply for IES ISS 2017 from the official portal of the respective authority i.e. www.upsconline.nic.in. It is expecting that the application form would be available in between the month of January to February, 2017. There will be two parts of the application form i.e. Part 1 and Part 2. Candidates need to complete both the parts very carefully and without committing any sort of errors.

Application fee (excluding SC/ST/PH/ Female category candidates): Rs. 200/-

Exam Pattern

Part 1 Exam Details

  • The exam includes two major parts i.e. Part I and Part II.
  • The maximum marks allotted for Part I is 1000 marks.
  • Part II will be a viva voce containing 200 marks.
