In order to secure admission in LLB course, aspirants need to clear DU LLB entrance exam. To offer admission to aspirants in LLM course offered by the varsity, candidates need to take DU LLM entrance exam.

Aspirants need to meet DU LLB entrance exam 2017 eligibility criteria as mentioned by Faculty of Law, Delhi University.
Aspirants are informed that they meet the eligibility criteria for DU LLB entrance exam 2017 only if they have completed their graduation from a recognised Indian University/Foreign University/Equivalent institution from any stream.
Also, candidates in the final year of their graduation/postgraduation are eligible to apply for DU LLB entrance exam. However, such aspirants will be offered admission on a provisional basis (which will be subject to their clearing their degree examinations).
Apart from the above, additional eligibility criteria that aspirants need to fulfill in order to secure admission in DU LLB programme is as mentioned below:
For General Category Candidates: Such aspirants should possess a graduation/post-graduation degree from Delhi University or any other recognised Indian/foreign university with atleast 50% aggregate marks.
For OBC Category Candidates: Such aspirants should possess a graduation/post-graduation from a recognised university with atleast 45% aggregate marks.
For SC/ST Category Candidates: Such aspirants should possess a graduation/post-graduation from a recognised university with atleast 40% aggregate marks.
For CW Category Candidates: Candidates who fall under widows/wards of ex-servicemen/serving personnel (CW) category are given a 5% marks relaxation, that is, they will be eligible to appear for DU LLB entrance exam 2017 if they have secured 45% aggregate marks in their qualifying examination.
For PH Category Candidates: Such aspirants should possess a graduation/post-graduation with atleast 45% aggregate marks. Informing the same the official website of DU states: “Relaxation of up to 5% marks in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to the candidates belonging to physically handicapped (PH) category on the recommendations of the Medical Board as per the prescribed procedure”.
Step 1: Fill DU LLB Entrance Exam Application Form
Candidates need to register online in order to fill DU LLB application form. Details that aspirants need to fill in their DU LLB entrance exam 2017 application form are mentioned below:

Step 2: Download DU LLB Admit Card
Aspirants can download their admit card for DU LLB Entrance Exam 2017 from the official website of the exam. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam without their DU LLB admit card.
The hall ticket/admit card for DU LLB exam would contain the aspirant’s details as well as their exam centre address and reporting time.
Step 3: Appear for DU LLB Entrance Exam
DU LLB exam is expected to have 175 questions which aspirants need to attempt in 2 hours duration. Candidates need to reach their designated DU LLB entrance exam centre atleast an hour before the commencement of the exam.
Step 4: Check DU LLB Entrance Exam Result
The result for DU LLB exam is declared on the official website of Delhi University. Candidates can check their DU LLB entrance exam 2017 result by filling in their username and password on DU’s official website.
A point to note here is that DU LLB result will only be declared in the online mode and no communication will be sent to any candidate in the offline mode.
Step 5: Appear for DU LLB Counselling
Candidates who make it to the merit list of the entrance test 2017 further need to appear for DU LLB entrance exam counselling process in-person. Before the counselling, each candidate has to fill – Law Centre Option-Cum-Undertaking form.
In DU LLB counselling round documents submitted by shortlisted candidates are verified. Once, this verification process is successfully completed candidates are offered a seat in LLB course offered at Delhi University.
Documents that aspirants need to carry at the time of DU LLB counselling are as mentioned below:
- Admission Ticket of LLB Entrance Test 2017
- Age Certificate (High School/Matriculation)
- Character Certificate (not older than six months on the date of admission)
- Degree Certificate (Provisional Certificate if applicable) of qualifying Degree examination
- Mark-sheet(s) of the qualifying Degree examination
- Scheduled Caste/Tribe/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PH/CW certificate
- Eight passport size photographs
DU LLB Entrance Exam Pattern is such that aspirants need to attempt a total of 175 objective type questions in a duration of 120 minutes.

In order to be able to solve DU LLB entrance exam question paper, aspirants are advised to study DU LLB books and solve as many sample papers as possible.
Marking Scheme: For every correct answer in DU LLB Entrance Exam, aspirants will be awarded four marks and one mark would be deducted for every wrong response.
DU LLB entrance exam is usually conducted only in Delhi. However in 2016, the exam was held outside Delhi also.
